Stephanie Budenstein
Primary Lead Teacher Beacon Montessori School
About
This will be Stephanie’s 25th year as a Montessori primary lead teacher. She began her Montessori career in Austin, Texas. Before Early Childhood Education, Stephanie studied Nutrition and wanted to tie that in with children somehow. While working as a buyer in the nutrition department for Whole Foods Market, she found herself applying for an assistant position at Casa Montessori. She instantly fell in love with the Montessori Method of teaching.
Stephanie received her AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) certification in Miami, Florida, through the Southern Institute and her B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Nazarene College. Stephanie taught as a lead Primary directress in Key West, Florida, for 13 years before moving to Boston in 2011.
Stephanie is dedicated to opening the hearts and minds of young children. She is passionate about Peace Education and believes in the Whole Child Approach and that each child deserves to be healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. Stephanie is committed to helping children continue to learn about the world around them through the innate curiosity that they are all born with, helping them to reach their highest potential.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys being outside, hiking in nature with her dog Zion, cooking, creating, and music. She has one son (Aidan), who attended Montessori from 2.5 years old until the 4th grade. Aidan graduated from Boston Latin School last year and began his Freshman year at Bentley University this year (Class of 2027).
